Amics de la pizza! Aquesta vegada ve Déu amb una pizza gegant! Dutxa’t, posa’t la millor roba i vine’t al convent, les monges ja t’esperen (-;=…
…i per a aquells intelectualos que pensen en una mica més allà de pizza amb monges aquí un resum de la cerimònia:

5 pintors interpreten varis déus coneguts de les mitologies. en conjunt creen un quadre circular, “la pizza” (Ø 144 cm). Representen 5 principis: el naixement, el creixement, el cim, la decadència i la mort. L’actitud de l’artista pot ser creativa o destructiva, pintant o sobrepintant, així establint una dinàmica interactiva, una sessió de “jazz visual”, un “action painting col·lectiu”. Deixen ser individuals, tocant una simfonia, creant un brou primordial nou. Reaccionant mútuament i impulsant un a l’altre. El resultat representa la seva comunicació, la seva acció recíproca. L’entrexocar de diferents visions, egos i forces artístiques, el joc entre harmonies i donis-harmonies, la successió d’errors i sorpreses seran els mecanismes evolutius de l’esdeveniment. La “sessió visual” serà gravat en vídeo des de vista aèria. En la inauguració es presenta la pizza i els artistes. Després haurà una sessió fusió experimental de “8-bit & ragtime” realitzat per el DJ Dimitry Ghost i els New Orleans Pussy Cats. Serà projectat el gravat de manera “time-lapse” així enllaçant el visual amb l’auditiu. Déu també va parlar sobre els últims assajos clínics en la medicina regenerativa i les cèl·lules mare. Perquè en fons la pizza és el sistema de propulsió de la Nau Espacial Mare Nostrum Navis Infinitum.

New release of Disconinjaz net-label hailing from Barcelona, Spain / Moscow, Russia. Disconinjaz is dedicated to funky arcade dance music, video game music / electro / acid trax / chiptunes / chipstyle disco / etc.

Vincenzo from Hungary brings six tracker-funk drops in the 3rd net-7″ release. Chipstyle music at it’s best.

László “Vincenzo” Vincze is a musician of anywhere from 8 to 32 bits, mostly known as a (former/retired) member of the demoscene team Conspiracy. His residence is located at Budapest, Hungary in his self-made home studio. He is in love with old-school commodore 64 chiptunes, and as his first machine was the famous commy, he started to compose music on the good ol’ computer in 1993. Later he changed to pc and started to write music for various demoscene productions. He has composed a bunch of groovy chiptunes over the years, and in 2004 he formed his very first rock band where he played the Hammond organ with one hand and the Rhodes piano with the other. While he worked for various Hungarian radio stations, he continued to stay active as a demoscener.

In 2006 he created the Hardread Podcast together with his good friend Pohar. Some months later they were asked to join the demoscene portal BitFellas. After a successful joining Vincenzo and his pals created more than 60 podcast episodes under the name BitJam Podcast selecting quality demoscene music, mixing it together and releasing it to the audience. Today he is still composing music (chiptunes, funky stuff) and working for a game developer company as a sound designer.

Recenty digging into the world of chiptune jazz music (wtf, heh?) my mate gave me a listen of this, which is definitly not chiptune, nor jazz, but glitchy chipstyle (or cheapstyle;) ) midi bossanova/latin, etc compositions.

Hemos llegado de un mundo donde todo es posible. Cuando éramos niños en la escuela, escuchábamos Beethoven, mirábamos Picasso y queríamos ser Samurais. Despues del colegio, entre los campos de arroz, jugabamos al béisbol y fútbol, y en casa, con la Nintendo y leímos comics. Orábamos en el altar de Budha y comíamos hamburguesa con palillos. Para nosotros, no tiene importancia qué cultura sea y de qué país provenga. Lo qué es interesante vale la pena. Esto es la exposición de dos aritistas a los qué les gusta tanto le segunda mano cómo Hérmes.

He nacido en Osaka, Japón en 1974. Siempre y solo me he dedicado a dibujar. En 1999, he hecho mi primera exposicíon. Despues, he dibujado portades de CDs y distintos trabajos do design (ej, Sharp, Puma, etc…) ademas, siempre sigo dibujando para encontrar nuevos orgazmos

Yoshi Sislay
He nacido en Osaka, Japón en 1974. Durante mis viajes por el mundo, decidí ser dibujante. Quiero seguir dibujando mis experienceias y sentimients sin limites. Porque me siento excitado a la idea de ver cómo cambia Sislay y sus dibujos en futuro.

Per a la majoria, això seria una tasca impossible, però per a un artista electrònic com Ryoji Ikeda, tot un geni creatiu japonès, la resposta es tradueix en un projecte integral que inclou concerts cinemàtics, instal·lacions i publicacions en les quals explora l’inabastable univers de les dades. Ikeda, àmpliament reconegut per la crítica com un dels compositors més innovadors i radicals de l’escena de la música electrònica contemporània, ens presenta el seu concert audiovisual datamatics al Grec’09 Festival de Barcelona. Datamatics és un espectacle en què l’artista porta fins al límit les possibilitats que ens ofereix la tecnologia, i extreu veritable poesia dels zeros i els uns, dels uns i els zeros.

An article (in spanish) about history and modern revival of valencian bakalao / cantaditas movement. Bored by minimal, techno and nu-rave people wanna sing and dance again.

Las cantaditas, temas machacones con melodías ñoñas, lo fueron todo en la ruta del bakalao. Y se convirtieron en el género español más exportado. 15 años después, se reivindican entre la devoción real y la ironía posmoderna.

Barcelona Bakalao is a multicultural improvisation rave project, started by Diego García (former vintage synthpop performer), Dimitry Ghost (8bit/electro dj from Moscow) and Owen Meyers (experimental electronica from Canada). The group serves as a platform for improvised dance music. Inspired by 90s raves, 80s acid house, 70s electronics, synthpunk, eurodance, etc. as well as absurdist ideas of dada-rave music. Artists perform on various analog synthesizers, casios and the innovative Tenori-on.

Equipment: Korg MS-20, Korg MS-10, theremin, Tenori-on, Gakken SX-150, Jomox, Casio SA-5, etc.

Io Casino: Like artist, since the late eighties this sound and visual creator has developed a wide range of works of artistic, visual and sound experimentation. She has released 9 official records and a number of participations on internacional compilations. All of her work is self-directed. In the last ten years she has performed and show his art in France, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Argentina, Portugal, India and the United States. On the last 13 years, she was produced & promoted more than 750 live show’s. She has been active in mentoring and in the Local Artists’ Network for many years, fostering and encouraging artists, presenting their work in public and creating reference and exchange models among them.

Curtis Roads (b. 1951) studied composition at the California Institute of the Arts (Los Angeles) and the University of California, San Diego. He received his doctorate from the University of Paris VIII. He now teaches at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Curtis Roads was a researcher in computer music at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1980 to 1987. He then taught at the University of Naples “Federico II,” Harvard University, Oberlin Conservatory, Les Ateliers UPIC, and the University of Paris VIII.

Many of his compositions feature granular and pulsar synthesis, methods he implemented for synthesizing sound from acoustical particles. Together with Alberto de Campo, he has recently developed a new program for particle synthesis called PulsarGenerator. They also developed the Creatovox, a new digital synthesizer for expressive performance of particle synthesis.

Co-founder of the International Computer Music Association (1980), he also served as an editor of Computer Music Journal for 23 years. His writings include over 150 monographs, research articles, reports, and reviews. Recent books include the textbook The Computer Music Tutorial (1996, MIT Press), Musical Signal Processing (co-editor, 1997, Swets and Zeitlinger), L’audionumérique (1999, Éditions Dunod), and The Computer Music Tutorial-Japanese edition (2001, Denki Daigaku Shuppan). His latest book, Microsound (forthcoming, The MIT Press), explores the aesthetics and techniques of composition with acoustic particles.
